Personal Training
Every single new client goes through the consultation process:
- An initial consultation where your goals are discussed. In this session we take your body fat percentage and other static measurements that allow us to look deeper into the realms of goal setting.
- The structural balance tests and muscle fibre testing. This is done both for the upper body and lower body (depending on your level of experience). These assessments are possibly the most important you could do, they allow us to start to develop YOUR program, not some generic program given to every one.
- Reassess your goals and choose where to go from there, choose how many sessions a week you will benefit from. Whether it be increasing muscle mass, reducing body fat via the OC Fitness Fat Loss Program or Sport Specific training.
OC Fat Loss Program
SCIENCE FACT 1: There is no generic fat loss workout. Something that works for someone may not work well for someone else. It has to be tailored to you. It has to be a calculated periodized program that will let achieve great fat loss from the initial consultation!
SCIENCE FACT 2: You need to keep your hard earned muscle; muscle is your friend in your fight against fat. It creates the base metabolism you need to lose weight and body fat, the OC Fat Loss program allows you to do this by combining effective nutrition with state of the art training methods based on scientific research.
SCIENCE FACT 3: Cardio is boring! You could spend a couple of hours on a treadmill or out running but it’s a waste of your free time, it’s also counterproductive and detrimental to your bodies hormonal profile, it’s a stress your body doesn’t want or need in our current culture (you will have less energy, less muscle, and more fat!) and it less effective for fat loss than the methods we use at OC Fitness.
SCIENCE FACT 4: The focused nature of the OC Fat Loss program means you will continue to burn calories long after you have left the gym. Traditional workouts such as running and biking burn fat whilst you’re exercising, but as soon as you get off the treadmill your metabolism shifts back down a gear and you’ll feel sluggish. Using our method guarantees that your metabolism will stay elevated. You will feel more satisfied, more energy, which in turn will make you feel healthy.
SCIENCE FACT 5: Effective resistance training promotes fat loss there’s so much science to back it up, yet most trainers and their clients don’t even include it in their programs. Most people have seen a trainer stand next to their client on a treadmill for 40 mins, and there getting paid to do that! They should be counting your tempo, counting your reps, giving your technical advice and correcting technique. They will usually combine this with weeks of high reps and low weight, great for 4 weeks but after that its effect is null and void.

These are the two most important factors to reducing injuries and increasing performance in your sport. In the structural balance tests we find out more than how much you can lift or how flexible you are, we find out your chances of injury and look to balance the body so you can stay injury free all season long.
